Mean Girls 2 is being filmed this fall, and its going straight to DVD!
But will it be the same?
Mean Girls 2 won't have any of the original characters in it, such as Lindsay, Amanda or Rachel McAdams. Instead of Cady, Gretchin, Karen and Regina, it will have two new people. Jo and Abby.
Jo befriends outcast Abby in exchange for her college costs taken care of by Abby’s wealthy father. The two then take on the school’s “mean girls,” a new group of Plastics, during their last year of high school. But loyalties get twisted when Abby finds out her friendship with Jo was bought and paid for.
Casting is still being sorted, and no announcements on actors being signed have been made. It does look like that Mean Girls 2 will be on DVD and Blu-Ray in 2011.
