Katie has 'moved on' from Alex, pretty much making it clear that her marriage with Alex is over. But Alex isn't giving up hope just yet...
He wrote in his column in Star magazine: "I'm still wearing me wedding ring - maybe I'm a hopeless romantic, but there you go. I want to work on our marriage. Maybe I am an optimist, but I believe in doing the honourable thing. Despite us both being busy with other things in our life, I have always made time for my wife. I would sacrifice anything to spend time with her. She has always been my priority. I always try to act with dignity."
Did he not realise that she would soon get bored of him?
I believe he wants to keep his Star column and keep his 15 minutes.
A source said: "He is angry, and refusing to pack up his bags and leave. Kate pleaded with him on the phone to leave the house for the sake of her family, and he laughed, and said, 'that's your problem', before hanging up."
