Has Britney ripped of the Bellamy Brothers with her new single, 'Hold It Against Me'? According to the brothers, she has!
The brothers are saying that Britney's single is very similar to their song, "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me'.
And apparently, the brothers are looking into legal options!
David Bellamy said: "If you listen to the lyrics of Britney Spears' new single, 'Hold It Against Me,' you'll find some major similarities. Howard and I have no personal beef with Britney. She's a talented gal, but professionally and in all honest, we feel completely ripped off. Where's the originality? Its not every day that you get into the middle of a brawl with Britney Spears. When I did listen to her song, I thought 'Well this is rather unoriginal.'"
Chris Willman, the music blogger Yahoo! has said that Dr.Luke and Max Martin, who wrote Hold It Against Me, have a history of writing music that rips off people.
